Green-Collar Personnel Training Program for the Agricultural Sector Completed

The Green-Collar Personnel Training Program for the Agricultural Sector was held between 7 - 25 September 2026. The program aimed to promote sustainable production practices in the agricultural sector and strengthen green transition capacity in line with the principles of combating climate change, sustainable management of natural resources, and low-carbon production.

The training sessions were attended by technical personnel working at the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and Ankara District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry, who are involved in training, extension and inspection activities in the agricultural sector. The sessions covered agricultural sustainability, agricultural carbon footprint, agricultural energy efficiency, agricultural water efficiency, and agricultural water footprint.

The program strengthened the knowledge and competencies of technical personnel working at the Provincial and District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry in green transition, sustainable production, and the efficient use of natural resources. The program also aimed to contribute to the dissemination of sustainable production practices in the agricultural sector by enabling the knowledge and practices gained through the training to be transferred to producers in the field.
