Permaculture Training
A permaculture training program was held on October 13–14, 2026, through a collaboration between the Ankara Development Agency and the Gölbaşı District Directorate of Agriculture. The training focused on production methods in harmony with nature, sustainable agricultural practices, and the efficient use of natural resources.
Led by Senior Chemical Engineer Nihal Ceren Alıcı, the training covered the core principles of the permaculture approach and how these principles can be integrated into agricultural production processes. It highlighted the significance of permaculture practices—which take the functioning of natural ecosystems as a model—in preserving soil health, utilizing water resources effectively, supporting biodiversity, and establishing sustainable production systems.
The training, designed to provide participants with an understanding of the fundamental principles of permaculture, emphasized the promotion of production models that are in harmony with nature and the enhancement of awareness regarding sustainable agriculture.
Through its collaborative efforts with local institutions, the Ankara Development Agency aims to support the environmental sustainability dimension of regional development and contribute to the dissemination of best practices for the conservation of natural resources.
