Global Innovation Challenge was launched in May 2015 by Ted Rogers School of Management in Ryerson University, Canada with the vision of creating commercializable ideas that will have a global impact.

Three teams competed in this year’s finals in Ankara. Students from the Toronto area developed ideas that will impact social innovation in Ankara. The teams received training and were pre-selected in Toronto before coming to Ankara. They then received training on creative thinking techniques and presented their ideas to the jury after a 48-hour hackathon event which consisted of visits to techno parks, public institutions and NGOs in Ankara.
